In this video, designer Max shares how we transformed a tricky drainage challenge into a beautiful, functional landscape. The homeowners dreamed of raised garden beds for growing, seasonal color for year-round interest, and native plants for a sustainable, low-maintenance design—and we brought it all to life.
The Challenge
A steep slope caused stormwater to flood the backyard, making the space unusable. The homeowners also wanted raised beds, native plantings, and seasonal color to make the yard both functional and inviting.
Our Approach
We reshaped the slope and positioned raised beds to direct runoff toward a rear drainage culvert—solving the flooding while creating structure for planting beds and hardscaping.
The Results
The redesigned yard now manages water effectively and features vibrant native plants and raised beds. It’s a beautiful space that’s built to last.
